Veterinarian

Welcome to Happy Tails Veterinary Clinic! My name is Dr. Jesse Skinner, and I’m honored to serve the Wellington community. I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, and my journey to becoming a veterinarian has been shaped by a deep love for animals, a commitment to serving others, and the unwavering support of my family.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University before attending veterinary school at North Carolina State University. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, I had the privilege of serving in the United States Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan from 2004 to 2005. My time in the military taught me discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values I carry with me every day in my practice.

My family is my greatest joy. My wife, Nicole, and I have been together for 19 years and married for 10. We are blessed with two amazing daughters, Ava and Isabella, who bring so much happiness and energy to our lives. Our family also includes Namani, our beloved rescue mutt.
In veterinary medicine, I enjoy all aspects of care, but I have a special passion for surgeries, geriatric care, dermatology, emergency medicine, and reproduction. I find immense fulfillment in forming meaningful bonds with our clients and their pets—those relationships are at the heart of everything we do at Happy Tails. I also love mentoring other veterinarians and helping them grow in their careers. Watching them thrive while improving the lives of pets and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Outside of work and family, I stay active with my favorite hobbies: working out, practicing jiu-jitsu, and surfing (though much less frequently these days). These activities keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance in life.

Veterinary Technician

Lily is a dedicated veterinary technician with six years of experience in the field. She is passionate about providing top-notch care for every patient and making sure pets and their owners feel comfortable and informed during their visits.

At home, Lily shares her life with her playful 3-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, Gunner, who keeps her on her toes with his endless energy and love for adventure. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the water, fishing, and relaxing with her dog and boyfriend.

Lily’s dedication, experience, and warm personality make her an invaluable part of the Happy Tails Veterinary Clinic team!
